STUDIO PRODUCTION
A Recording Studio is the most important tool for every Musician to be able to work and record.
Mark has a long time experience and built his first Recording Studio in Athens Greece from 1995 – 2001, the “Magna Carta Studio”, which worked mostly in the Greek music industry and with local folk and rock bands. Some works were Gold and Platinum certified.
In the late 90’s the Studio took a turn and worked mostly mostly for local Television commercials and Radio jingles.
After living many years in the UK and Germany, early 2020 Mark decided to break down his tents from the North and return to Greece and build a new Studio in the mountains of Lavrio, the coastal harbour town next to Sounion in the South East area of Attica, 50km from Athens and 24km from the Airport, which marks today the “The Drum Dungeon Studio”.
The DD Studio is a home Studio equipped with selected Analog and Digital equipment and the main aim from day one was of course to record top sounding drums.
A good sounding room was built, and a selection of vintage Microphones were added, which include Sennheiser´s, AKG´s, Neumann, Shure, Coles and Beyer.
Outboards and pre amps like Neve, API, Trident, Capi, Warm Audio, BSS, Soundcraft, dbx and two UA Apollo x8p interfaces and the entire UA library did the trick in the modern world of recording.
Our Dows include Cubase, Logic & of course Avid on a MAC.
We are proud to have a Tama Starclassic Performer B/B drum kit with all possible sizes, a variety of Snares and Percussion, Marshall, Engl, Ampeg and Hartke guitar and bass amps and cabs.
Exclusive backline requests come at an extra cost. Furthermore we have also access to a vintage guitar and bass amp collection, as well as drums.
We have created a top team of Staff, Engineers and Assistants, in collaboration with two Studios in Athens for mixing, the Sierra Studios and Studio Aspiotis , both top class Studio with an SSL4000 consoles, Chandler EMI and Shadow Hills outboards, the real deal!
Of course mixing is something of your choice!
The Mastering we prefer to do in the UK.
