STUDIO PRODUCTION
A Recording Studio is the most important tool for every Musician to be able to work and record.
Mark has a long time experience and started a Business with his first Recording Studio in Athens Greece from 1995 – 2001, the “Magna Carta Studio”, which worked mostly in the Greek music industry and with local rock bands. Some works were Gold and Platinum awarded.
In the late 90’s the Studio took a turn working mostly Jingles, Television and Radio commercial spots.
After living many years in the UK and Germany, early 2020 Mark decided to break down his tents from the North and return to Greece and build a new Studio in the mountains of Lavrio, the coastal harbour town next to Sounion in the South East area of Attica, 50km from Athens and 24 from the Airport, which marks today the “The Drum Dungeon Studio”.
The DD Studio is equipped with selected Analog and Digital equipment and the main aim from day one was of course to record top sounding drums.
A good sounding room was built, and a selection of vintage Microphones was added, which include Sennheiser´s, AKG´s, Neumann and Beyer, Neve, API, Trident, Capi, WarmAudio, BSS, Soundcraft, dbx Analog Pre Amps and Compressors, two UA Apollo x8p interfaces and the entire UA library.
Our Dows include Cubase, Logic, Reaper & Avid, of course all on a MAC.
We are proud to have a Tama Starclassic Performer B/B drum kit with all sizes, a variety of Snares and Percussion, Marshall, Engl, Ampeg and Hartke amps and cabs.
If you have exclusive backline requests, we can of course rent those. Furthermore we also have access to a vintage guitar and bass amp collection and any kind of drums, those are at an extra cost of course.
We have created a top team of Staff, Engineers and Assistants, in collaboration with the Studio Aspiotis in Athens, a top class Studio with an SSL4000, Chandler EMI and Shadow Hills outboards, the real deal!
The Mastering we prefer to do in the UK.
